Meet Erick Valencourt, artist

Erick Valencourt explores various mediums (cardboard, fabric, paper) and techniques (palette knife painting, collage, compression and more) to create his work. Using recycled materials; and as inspiration arises, he creates work that is a raw and singular expression of emotion, a memory, or an inner image. Neither truly form nor truly color, the full meaning of his production is in its radical nature and the place it reserves for chance. If there is such a thing.

Erick was born and raised on the Ile of Ré. He lived in Tahiti for a few years and sailed around the world mostly solo for 12 years.
