This is a crazy one guys my good friend Savanna trains these amazing dogs to help hunt invasive species. She invited me with her another friend named Sam to assist in a hog removal job at a sugarcane factory. I have nothing to compare this to and nothing to expect never done anything like this before usually dealing with iguanas in the city limits these hogs cost tens of thousands of dollars of damage per year and the farmers want them gone. Check out the video. I hope you enjoy and make sure you check out our friends.

Yes, feral hogs are a significant problem in Florida, including in and around sugarcane fields.
Here's why:
Widespread and Destructive: Feral hogs are present in all 67 Florida counties and are known for causing substantial damage to agriculture and natural ecosystems.
Sugarcane Fields as Habitat: They are particularly drawn to areas like Clewiston and Belle Glade, where sugarcane fields are prevalent.
Feeding Habits: Feral hogs are omnivores and will consume a wide variety of food sources, including crops, vegetation, and even small animals.
Rooting Damage: Their rooting behavior, where they dig for food, can severely damage sugarcane fields, impacting crop yield and quality.
Ecological Impact: Beyond crop damage, feral hogs also negatively impact native vegetation, cause erosion, damage water sources, and prey on native wildlife, according to The News-Press.
In summary: Feral hogs are a persistent and damaging invasive species in Florida, and sugarcane fields are among the areas they frequent, leading to agricultural losses and ecological harm.
