Forensic Psychotherapist: From IRA Brighton Bombing To School Shootings | LADbible Stories

In this special episode of Minutes With Sponsored by @Channel4 , we had the privilege of speaking to Peter Aylward about his work as a forensic psychotherapist and his theories as to why perpetrators commit mass killings. Peter reveals how his early career in The Met’s Special Branch led him to hunt down the IRA, including Europe's most wanted man, and how his analysis of criminals led him to retrain and work at Broadmoor Hospital. Peter unpacks his insightful theories on mass killings and school shootings from the Dunblane massacre to the Norwegian killings perpetrated by Anders Breivik. Peter takes a deep dive into the chilling case of Nicholas Prosper, who plotted a mass killing in the UK.

The case was captured in the BAFTA nominated Channel 4 series 24 Hours in Police Custody. Watch the latest episode here - https://www.channel4.com/programmes/24-hours-in-police-custody/on-demand/77005-005
