まるで卵の殻！三川内焼の伝統技法「卵殻手」の制作に挑戦してみた！【薄さ1㎜】

日本の伝統工芸である「三川内焼（みかわちやき）」の中でも、特に繊細で美しい「卵殻手（らんかくで）」という伝統技法をご紹介します。

卵殻手とは？
三川内焼の伝統技法の一つで、驚くことに1mm以下の薄さまで削り出された器のことを指します。通常の三川内焼でも2mm以下のものがほとんどですが、卵殻手はさらに透過性が高く、光にかざすとその美しさに息をのむほどです。

今回の挑戦
一般的な卵殻手の製法では、天草陶石に網代陶石を混ぜて使用しますが、今回は「天草陶石のみ」での制作に挑戦しました。この難易度の高い試みによって、どのような奇跡の茶器が生まれるのか、ぜひ最後までご覧ください。

Among the traditional Japanese crafts, Mikawachi ware, we will introduce a traditional technique called "Rankakude", which is particularly delicate and beautiful.

What is Rankakude?

Rankakude is one of the traditional techniques of Mikawachi ware, and refers to vessels carved to a thickness of less than 1 mm, which is surprising. Most Mikawachi ware vessels are less than 2 mm thick, but Rankakude is even more transparent, and when held up to the light, its beauty is breathtaking.

This time's challenge
In the general production method of Rankakude, Amakusa pottery stone is mixed with Ajiro pottery stone, but this time we tried to make it using only Amakusa pottery stone. Please watch until the end to see what kind of miraculous tea utensils will be born from this difficult attempt.
