The Day Simeon Nikolov Shocked the World !!! The clash between Slovenia and Bulgaria at the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship delivered one of the most dramatic matches of the pool phase. Played in the Philippines, this five-set thriller ended with Bulgaria claiming a huge 3–2 victory and securing an important step toward qualification for the knockout stage.

Bulgaria started the match in dominant fashion, controlling the rhythm and intensity to win the first two sets convincingly. Their serving pressure and defensive organization put Slovenia under constant stress, leaving little room for error. However, Slovenia showed remarkable resilience and mental strength, fighting back into the match by winning the third and fourth sets and forcing a decisive tie-break.
