Test, dont Guess! ...How not to kill your customers

Proper testing of CO and propane detectors:
test both CO and propane detectors, press the "TEST" button on the unit to check the alarm's sound. For propane, you can also use a very small amount of propane to test the sensor's function. Do not use exhaust or other gases, as they can damage the sensor or trigger false alarms. For CO detectors, a dedicated CO testing kit with a container of real CO gas is the most thorough method but is not recommended for home users due to safety concerns
