Inspired by a true story about a young Polynesian couple. The husband is Maori and the wife is Samoan who live in Hawaii. The husband receives a phone call from his family in New Zealand about his mother being in hosptial. The story starts when the couple arrive home in New Zealand to find the mother un responsive, he pleads with her not to die. As the mother prepares to go to the other side of the veil, she's leaves a short message with her grandson on the phone. This spiritual experience eventually helps shape the couple as they raise their children in their faith.
