Racing 1283km across the Alps - Red Bull X-Alps 2025

This year’s Red Bull X-Alps stretched to 1,283km, the longest route in the race’s history, pushing the limits of adventure racing further than ever before. 32 male and 1 female athlete set out to hike and fly their way across the Alps by foot and paraglider, battling for a place on the podium of the world’s toughest adventure race.

After dominating the race from 2009–2023 with eight wins, Christian Maurer faced a new challenger. This year, Aaron Durogati took the crown after a nail-biting battle on Day 8, proving that legends can be made and broken.

BATTLE OF LEGENDS tells the story of the athletes as they push their way across the Alps, from the race leader to the closest challengers. The documentary also highlights some of the most dramatic and scenic parts of the route, such as Celine Lorenz being stuck in a valley for six hours, or Sebrand Warren hiking and struggling to finish the race.
