Amazon center damaged by Iran

Amazon’s cloud computing operation in Bahrain was damaged after an Iranian strike, the Financial Times reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said that civil defence teams were extinguishing a fire at a company facility following what authorities described as an Iranian attack.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) earlier this week shared footage it described as showing a strike on an Amazon cloud computing center in Bahrain.

The report of the strike came a day after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards threatened to target US companies in the Middle East, including Tesla, Microsoft, IBM, Boeing, Nvidia, Apple, Google and Meta, in retaliation for attacks on Iran.
