Wild Basket Weaving – Part 1 | Weaving with Wild Plants Tutorial

Come with me as I begin weaving a small basket using foraged wild plants from the hedgerows and meadows of the Wye Valley 🌿

In this episode, I introduce the process by preparing one of my favourite wild materials - Yucca. I’ll show you how I dry and then rehydrate the leaves so they’re ready to use for the base of a handwoven basket, and then begin the basic weave.

This is a gentle, meditative way of working with nature and a perfect place to begin if you’re curious about wildcrafting, sustainable weaving, or slowing down with natural materials.
