In this video I use applied Mechanical Engineering to design a tow hitch mounted motorcycle rack which features an integrated ramp and over centre foot peg clamps. This rack will be available as a consumer level product and this video steps through the engineering product development process, and outlines what’s involved to take a design from a concept to a prototype. It includes engineering benchmarking, CAD design, design reviews, manufacturing, TIG Welding, MIG welding, CNC pressbrake, Laser Cutter & problems along the way.
