Getting an MRI can feel a little scary, but this video shows what to expect at Cincinnati Children’s. MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) uses magnets and computers to take detailed pictures inside the body, helping doctors provide the best care. You’ll learn what the scanner looks like, what happens before and during the scan, and how we help kids stay comfortable—like watching movies or listening to music with headphones. The MRI technologist will guide you, check in during breaks, and make sure you feel safe the whole time. Most scans take about an hour, with short sections where it’s important to stay still.
At Cincinnati Children's, our goal is to provide the best quality imaging. We'll work together to ensure that you have a positive experience in our Radiology Department.
