Loch Ness is one of the biggest mysteries in Scotland. Located in the Scottish Highlands near Inverness, many people still ask where is Loch Ness, how deep is Loch Ness, and most famously, is the Loch Ness Monster real?

At over 230 metres deep, the dark waters of Loch Ness, Scotland have inspired centuries of folklore about a mysterious monster said to live beneath the surface.

In this video, I travel all the way around, discovering the mystery of Loch Ness, exploring its history, landscapes and Scottish folklore.

From the engineering marvel of the Caledonian Canal and the village of Fort Augustus, to the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle, a Loch Ness cruise, and the peaceful shores near Dores village, I uncover why this place continues to fuel the Scottish mystery that is the legend of the Loch Ness monster known as Nessie.
