Early Morning Village Routine in Northern Iran | Traditional Chicken Machboos, Zulbia & Rural Family Life 🌅🐑🍗

Join us on a peaceful early morning in a beautiful village in Northern Iran — where rural life begins before sunrise and every task is filled with purpose and tradition 🌿🇮🇷

Our day starts with separating the lambs from the sheep and preparing the flock for grazing. Grandfather milks the cow at dawn, continuing a daily tradition that has been part of village life for generations 🐄🥛.

We feed the sheep and chickens, bring hay for the animals, and gather firewood for cooking. Simple routines, but essential parts of real countryside living.

What We’re Cooking Today:

Today we prepare a traditional and flavorful Chicken Machboos (Arabic-style spiced rice with chicken) — cooked the old-fashioned way with fragrant spices and village-grown ingredients 🍗🍚.

Alongside this main dish, we cook a warm barley soup and prepare soft potatoes to serve with the meal. Everything is made slowly and traditionally, filled with the comforting aroma of home cooking.

Since it’s the blessed month of Ramadan, we also make Zulbia, a classic Persian sweet enjoyed during iftar — crispy, golden, and soaked in syrup 🍯✨.

Meanwhile, daily rural life continues:
We plant onions in the garden, water the animals, collect firewood, and Grandma spins sheep wool using her old wooden spinning machine, preserving beautiful handmade traditions 🧶.
