Trout & Perch From Shore | Lake District 🇬🇧

In this Esox King video, myself and @JoshReels21 went on a lure fishing trip to Ullswater in the Lake District. We had 2 goals: Catch some big perch, and also catch and cook a brown trout. We were fishing from shore using waders, and didn't know where to find the fish, so using searchbaits like spinners and spoons was our strategy.

Lure fishing in the Lake District, especially on these large, deep lakes can be quite challenging.
We had never been here before and so didn't know where we would find the fish, the weather also proved challenging. While the rest of the country was experiencing a heatwave up to 30 degrees, we were fishing in deep fog and had waves breaking on us as we were wading.
A UK personal best perch (from a wild venue) is something I really wanted to catch, my PB of 40cm was caught in New Zealand and I thought it was time that I found some big ones in the UK.

Gear Used:
Rod - Okuma Tournament Concept 2-4kg
Reel - Okuma Azaki-30
Lures - Berkley pulse shad, Mepp's Aglia Spinner, Toby spoon
Line Setup - 10lb braid with 6lb fluorocarbon leader
