On Sunday, October 5, 2025, a twin-engine Beechcraft 58P Baron, registration N121GJ, crashed in a rural area just northwest of Williston Regional Airport (X60), in Levy County, Florida. The aircraft was on approach for landing (after a planned fuel stop) and impacted in a peanut field, killing all three people on board. The pilot was an experienced instructor and the passengers were a father and his 8 y.o. son returning form a hunting trip.
The crash kicked off immediate responses from the FAA, the NTSB, and local law enforcement, beginning an investigative process that can take many months. In this episode, we walk you through what we do know so far, what plausible scenarios investigators will examine, and where things currently remain uncertain.
