This Is the Closest Thing to Landing on Mars (Moab Backcountry Flying)

This video covers Days 1 through 3 of our Moab backcountry flying trip, where we explored some of the most exciting and dynamic aviation terrain in the United States. Utah’s backcountry is famous for its challenging strips, incredible scenery, and the freedom it offers pilots—but with that freedom comes a responsibility to fly respectfully and safely.

Before flying any of these areas, we researched where backcountry operations are permitted, where they are restricted, and how to minimize impact on local communities and the environment.
