Have your tools that you use most regularly kept in key positions such as a trowel above your potting bench. Make sure your water points, water barrels and hoses are positioned, but hidden, exactly where needed. Obliterate small awkward areas of grass and do you really need to divide those perennials?

Above all look after the gardener, make sure you stretch, keep fighting fit if possible and eat a tasty, healthy diet so you are always ready to lavish some tlc on your favourite outdoor space!
