The 9th Charnel is a first-person psychological survival horror experience that immerses players in a bleak, terrifying world where stealth, strategy, and sheer will to survive are the only ways forward. With a haunting atmosphere and relentless tension, the game challenges players to face impossible threats while uncovering the dark history behind a place drenched in evil.

Set in a near-future society plagued by corruption, selfishness, and the collapse of human ideals, the game feeds on the player’s anxiety, survival instincts, and exploration skills. Most encounters demand careful stealth and environmental awareness, while progression rewards players with new weapons, deeper story elements, and increasingly complex dangers.

You play as Michael J. Jones, one of six fully developed characters, each with their own backstory and motivations. Michael, alongside fellow genetic scientists Sara Whitlock and Daniel J. Hart, works at The Epsilon Research Institute. During a research trip to a nearby wildlife sanctuary, an unimaginable incident sends their vehicle crashing into a deep valley. Separated, injured, and surrounded by an unknown horror, Michael must find his colleagues and survive a series of terrifying events that reveal the valley’s disturbing past.
