Come to the Chautauqua Institution and join fellow lifelong learners and a panel of high-profile presenters — including former NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw and journalists James and Deborah Fallows of The Atlantic — for a special, eight-day foray into the movement to build livable communities. Explore the growing body of research that enables us to live healthier, more fulfilling lives in more beautiful and sustainable places, led by experts engaged in the creation of purposefully designed neighborhoods and cities. Additional speakers during this week of learning include Brokaw's daughter Dr. Jennifer Brokaw; Toni Griffin, founder of Urban Planning and Design for the American City; and Muhtar Kent, chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company. You’ll also enjoy gallery exhibits, evening entertainment, nature hikes and a Road Scholar-only field trip that includes lunch and an in-depth visit to the Roycroft Campus and an architectural exploration of the historic city of Buffalo.
