Questioned by Secret Service over Gaza posts

Ihsan, a US resident of Palestinian descent, says he was questioned by the Secret Service during a trip to Washington, DC, as a result of his social media posts about Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza and the complicity of the US government.

Ihsan told TRT World that he was exercising his constitutional right to free speech and has not done anything unlawful.

He said agents first visited his home in 2024 to ask about his online activity, and that he has since been placed on the Secondary Security Screening Selection list whenever he travels.

Ihsan added that during a recent international trip, agents detained him for several hours and confiscated his phone after he refused to unlock it.

“I think it’s disgusting. But I also look at it as. Here’s a way to educate American society to show them how our rights are being restricted,” Ihsan said.
