Nicks Problem Child Cross Ram Mopar - Why Didnt Anything Seem To Work?

We've all had projects fight you at every turn, and the 1961 Chrysler Long Ram 413 recently dyno tested by Nick's Garage was a perfect example of everything that can go wrong, going wrong.
About a month ago we opined that adding the factory heat tubes would go a long way towards making that engine run correctly. They tried it, and like everything else with this particular engine, it didn't work as it should.
Last night we sat and watched the entire series on this engine, and after considering every aspect depicted, we've come to some conclusions. Here's where we think the problems are hiding.
