Making LIME PUTTY for Lime Plastering a Straw Bale Home

How to make lime putty: in a 55 gallon barrel, mix 200 pounds of hydrated lime with 25 gallons of clean water. Mix with a paddle mixer and heavy duty 1/2” drill. Let it slake for 24-48 hours minimum. Then mix the lime putty with mortar sand to make lime plaster and/or lime render.
