Israel issues new warnings for Beirut as Iran says attacks breach ceasefire | BBC News

The Israeli military has issued evacuation orders for parts of Beirut as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Israel will strike Hezbollah "wherever necessary" despite the US-Iran ceasefire.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian says deadly Israeli attacks on Lebanon "blatantly violate" the ceasefire agreement - and warns their hands will "remain on the trigger”.

Lebanon’s health ministry says 203 people have been killed and more than 1,000 wounded on Wednesday across the country.

The US and Iran announced a ceasefire late on Tuesday - but there have been conflicting reports about what Iran actually agreed.
