Indian is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by N. Maharajan and produced by Dharmendra. It stars Sunny Deol, and also features Shilpa Shetty, Danny Denzongpa, Raj Babbar, Mukesh Rishi and Rahul Dev.

DCP Rajshekhar Azad lives happily with his wife Anjali and their two children. He arrests Waseem Khan, a dangerous extremist linked to powerful businessman Shankar Singhania. Shankar uses Waseem Khan to create unrest in the country for his personal gain.

Rajshekhar later discovers that his father-in-law, DGP Surya Pratap Singh, is secretly involved in the same scheme. When Rajshekhar confronts him, the situation turns tragic, and Anjali leaves her husband in grief. Determined to bring justice, Rajshekhar eliminates Waseem Khan and joins hands with a group of young people who were unable to join the police force. Together, they stop Shankar Singhania’s unlawful operations. In the end, Anjali learns the truth about her father’s actions and reunites with Rajshekhar.
