To apply for an electronic visa (e-Visa) to enter Viet Nam, please visit one of the official websites:
https://evisa.gov.vn or https://thithucdientu.gov.vn

The Viet Nam e-Visa is valid for up to 90 days and costs :
- USD 25 for a single-entry visa - No re-entry
- USD 50 for a multiple-entry visa - Unlimited entries until visa expiry

Applicants must be outside of Viet Nam when submitting the application.

It’s best to plan ahead. You may apply for the visa up to one year before your planned entry.

Travelers using an e-Visa may enter and exit Viet Nam only through designated international border gates.

Before applying, prepare the following for upload:
1. A recently taken photo with a white background
2. The passport data page
(Each file must be under 2MB in size)

Read the declaration instructions. Confirm and click next. Upload your passport data page. And a photo of the applicant. The system will perform a face compare.

Although a traveler has been approved with as low as a 47% match, it’s recommended to upload a photo that closely matches your passport photo as much as possible for the best results.

The passport details will be auto-filled. Please review them carefully and make any corrections if necessary.
If your passport includes only a surname or given name, enter it under Given Name; the Surname field is optional.
The Identity Card Number field is also optional.
Enter your email address. an account will be created on this site using that email if the option is checked.
Provide your Religion and Place of Birth, then re-enter your email for confirmation.

If you have ever used another passport to enter Vietnam, select Yes and enter the passport details.
If you hold multiple nationalities, please indicate so.
Answer whether you have violated any Vietnamese laws.

Select Single Entry, no re-entry allowed or Multiple Entry for unlimited re-entries but you must leave Vietnam before the visa expires.
Choose the visa validity period, the start and end dates must fall within 90 days. Select your passport type.

Enter your permanent residential address. Provide your contact address, for example, where you are staying, such as a dormitory. The two addresses can be the same. Enter your phone number. Provide your emergency contact’s name, address, phone number, and relationship to you.

Fill in details about your occupation or education. Specify the purpose of entry, intended date of entry and length of stay will be filled automatically based on the valid period.

Enter your contact phone number and address in Viet Nam. Select the province, usually listed before the postal code, then choose the corresponding ward or commune from the dropdown list. select your intended border gate of entry and exit.

Answer the following questions. Indicate if you have an accompanying child under 14 years old who shares the same passport and wishes to be included in the same e-visa application. Enter your estimated travel expenses in USD, you don't have to upload any proof of funds. Specify whether you have purchased travel insurance. it’s not mandatory but strongly recommended. Finally, state who will be covering the trip expenses.

Take note of the application code, as you’ll need it to retrieve your application. Many users have reported that the online form sometimes fails to load midway during payment.

Processing usually takes 2–5 business days for some applicants, though others have experienced longer wait times. It’s best to apply as early as possible.

An email will be sent with your application result. If you don’t receive it, check the website for updates and download your e-visa once approved.
