In the past, I used to be terrified of contrast, and I used to be the one suffering in it no matter how hard I tried to "see the positive" in the situation, or tried to "change my perspective on the situation.” I would even "persist" through the contrast, but that only seemed to work sometimes, and like I said, it felt more like I was "suffering" through the contrast. It wasn't until I incorporated this one tactic in the face of ALL contrast, and ALL situations where I was manifesting the opposite of what I was intending, did I start seeing the results I actually wanted.
