How I Make Wax Coated Wood Chip Fire Starters

longislandprepper1 asked, "can you show us how you coated your fire starters in? wax. I'm trying it now and not able to get a good goading like I see you have got. i even used res wax to see it better."

So in this video I show how I coat the fire starter material by making a small batch. I also try answering a question I got from wjf213.

wjf213 asked, "Have you ever added magnesium shavings to those round cotton pads and then dipped them in wax? I add the shavings for cotton balls with PJ. The shavings make the fire starters act a little like those trick birthday candles that you can't blow out. One thing I learned though, is you can not leave the shavings out for weeks at a time without using them, because they oxidize and then don't work as well, but once they're sealed in wax? or PJ, they're fine."
