Hoi An, Vietnam - Worst Storm/Flood (Tropical Storm Fengshen) Since 1964

🎯 I was watching several shorts on YouTube and Instagram about the flooding in Hoi An and Hue. It looked unreal or something from some post apocalyptic movie. Although Da Nang had some flooding, where I lived in the An Thuong neighborhood had only a lot of rain. I wanted to see it for myself. And it was awful. Seeing it was bad but smelling it was like a continuous reminder that it's not going away anytime soon. It was odd in a way to witness this unfolding as people were still selling things while others were cleaning and sifting through the muck. It seemed that people were just doing things as normal people do while I was in shock. And although I'm from New Orleans where I've been through several floods, this felt and looked entirely different.

I forgot to mention the exchange amount in the video. The boat man had charged me 300k VND (🇺🇸$11.40, 🇨🇦$16.07, 🇦🇺$17.42, 🇬🇧£8.67, 🇪🇺€9.83) to take me on the flooded river.

Here's some links to a few places that are in the video that you can support if you're ever in Hoi An.

Madame Khanh - Banh Mi Queen - It's my favorite banh mi in all of Vietnam, period! https://tinyurl.com/mvjawbez

Ba Ri Tailor - I had a stylish cool looking suit made here about 2 years ago. https://tinyurl.com/5wm4a273

Shoes Shop Hao - The only customed made pair of shoes that I have ever had. It was comfortable and good looking. https://tinyurl.com/36342rmr

My An Restaurant - I had the chicken fried rice and it was delicious. This was where I finished the video. TinyURL.com was having technical issues so apologies for not having the URL.
