The autumn harvest comes before we’re ready every year — it’s the busiest, most tiring season. It took us a whole week to finish stripping the corn on the hillside, but now the year’s feed for the pigs and cattle is finally settled.
After all that hard work, we made ourselves a big feast. My family loves beef, so I cooked a pot of Baoshan-style fresh copper-pot beef.
