In this video, myself, Harry, and Ben head out after greylag geese on the morning of September 1st. We had been scouting this field for about a week beforehand, watching the birds come in to feed every morning and evening—almost like clockwork.

We show you how we set up using both homemade and store-bought layout blinds, and the decoys we’re using are Sillosocks from Tidepool Wildfowling Products.

However, the morning didn’t go entirely to plan…

Unfortunately, someone decided to act irresponsibly by disturbing the geese the afternoon before our shoot—and again in the morning—using a green laser light pointed over the reserve. We all know how dangerous lasers can be, especially if they hit someone in the eye. This was not only disappointing but extremely unsafe, and we hope it’s something no one else has to deal with in the field.
