First 2024 Duramax on the Dyno!

We’ve got one of the first 2024 GMC Sierra Denali 3500 HD Ultimates in the shop! In Gale's latest video, he runs it on our chassis dyno to see how much of GM’s claimed 25 horsepower increase actually makes it to the wheels. Gale walks through the new truck's beautiful interior and exterior before strapping it onto the dyno. If you’re familiar with powerful diesel trucks you know that peak horsepower isn’t the most important number. Gale explains torque rise using a dyno sheet. This is the vehicle’s lugging ability. Finally, he explains why modern diesel trucks will actually never reach their peak torque thanks to the transmission back-shifting (down-shifting).
