Having a power station for boondocking or power outages is invaluable. Making your power station last longer is pretty simple by adding external batteries. In this video, I show the basics of extending the capacity of an EcoFlow Delta 2 power station from 1KWh to 3.5KWh. The DC input connection is made through an XT60I connector, which the power station limits the input current to 8 amps when the center pin is connected to the positive side, or limits it to 15 amps when the center pin is connected to the negative side. You can connect up to four external LFP batteries in series at 51.2V, providing up to a maximum input of 500 watts on this Delta 2 without exceeding the 60V maximum input rating. For my setup, I connect two external LFP batteries in series 25.6V at 15 Amps giving a 384-watt input, meeting all my needs without draining the internal battery while drawing power from the power station. If you're interested in more details on the setup, I can create another video with specifics. Just leave a comment below.
