Europe: BREAKING LNG Panic — Qatar Signals Supply Shift, Winter Risk Explodes

There is a tanker right now, somewhere between the South China Sea and the Suez Canal. It is carrying liquefied natural gas. That tanker is not heading to Europe. It’s heading to Asia. European gas storage is currently sitting at just 35% full . In Germany and France, that number is closer to 25% . We are draining reserves at the fastest pace in five years, and the only way to refill them is to compete on the open market against buyers in China, Japan, and South Korea .

But here’s the part they don’t say on the news: Europe thought it won the energy war back in 2022. They kicked Russia out. They celebrated. And now, four years later, we are waking up to a new reality. This isn't about being dependent on a pipeline anymore. This is about being dependent on a fleet of ships, and that fleet is controlled by a country you probably don't think about enough. Qatar. The North Field expansion is online right now, pushing Qatar’s production from 77 million tons per year to 126 million . They are the only ones with spare gas. And they know it. This is the Qatar Gambit.
