ElmZILLA! Woodturning a MONSTEROUS piece of wood

This week, I take on one of the wildest most MONSTEROUS pieces of elm I've ever attempted to turn – a gnarled, bark-covered monster of a blank that looks more like a movie prop than a turning project. In this chaotic, cracking, and unexpectedly dramatic session on the lathe, “Elmzilla” puts up one heck of a fight.

Watch as I battle against bark, cracks, weight, and wobble to transform this beast into something beautiful. There's a bit of suspense, a bit of humour, and a lot of chips flying.
