Take a ride with me as we travel to Colonial Williamsburg, VA on this beautiful day. One of the nicest things about living in the Hampton Roads area is being so close to all this history. Colonial Williamsburg, VA was founded as the Capital of the Virginia Colony back in 1699 and celebrated its 300th Anniversary back in 1999. Williamsburg, VA was one of the first planned cities and the young city quickly became the center for all things in Virginia.
One of the oldest colleges in America founded way back in 1693, The College of William and Mary, was the center of learning that educated many early leaders such as President's Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe and John Tyler. So much history is preserved here and if your ever in the neighborhood I invite you to visit and get see what Williamsburg, VA has to offer.
