DIY Designer Banquet Board | White Oak & Leopardwood Build

This weekend’s project at Serenity Grove is a little different — I made my daughter a banquet board using white oak and leopardwood. It started out simple enough, but like most projects around here, it took on a life of its own. The leopardwood has an incredible shimmer that sets it off perfectly against the oak, and by the end of it, I was wishing I’d kept it for myself.

It’s the kind of project that reminds me why I love working with wood — the smell, the texture, the way the grain catches the light. No fancy tools, just patience and a good plan (most of the time).
