Christian Bale, for the role of Frankenstein…

This year, we’re getting two Frankenstein films.

In one, Christian Bale plays the monster. In the other, it’s J–!

First up, The Bride!

Inspired by a classic, this film follows a lonely monster who longs for a companion. To fill that void, a dead woman is brought back to life, the Bride.

Jessie Buckley stars in the title role, and the rest of the cast is just as impressive.

Christian Bale took method acting to the next level by camping in American graveyards to prepare for the role… just kidding.

The second film comes from Guillermo del Toro, a passion project he’s wanted to make for years.

Simply titled Frankenstein, it brings a fresh take on the classic story.

Jacob Elordi plays the monster, while Oscar Isaac steps into the role of the doctor. And once again, the cast is stacked.

This one is set to hit Netflix later this year.
