Cannes 2023: Record female participation in race for Palme d’Or

Some of the biggest names in the movie business are in the French Riviera for the opening of the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
And for the first time in its history, more than a third of the 21 films competing for the top award, the Palme D’or, are directed by women.
