Back On The Chase: A B.C. Alpine Mule Deer Hunt

Were back again and this time were and this time were going for a giant! Kevin is full of enthusiasm as we arrive at camp high in the alpine in our favourite place to hunt mountain mule deer in beautiful British Columbia. On this hunt we have returned in search of a giant buck that we captured blurry footage of from long distance the year prior. We have planned for a 7-10 day hunt depending on how things go and are more ready than ever to battle whatever the mountain throws at us in search of a mature mule deer buck. British Columbia offers some of the most rugged and unforgiving hunting opportunities and high in the mountains there is no shortage of rugged and unforgiving terrain and weather and the potential for big predator encounters like black bears, wolves and grizzly bears. We are heading in later than we ever have before on the 13th of September. This means the bucks are likely rubbed and less keen on showing themselves in daylight, not to mention the possibility of rapid changing weather and snow storms.
