Another Global Sumud Flotilla sets sail from France to break Gaza blockade

Around 20 boats comprising the Global Sumud Flotilla's "2026 Spring Mission" will depart from the French city of Marseille, aiming to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza to deliver vital humanitarian aid and medical supplies.

This upcoming voyage marks the latest attempt to reach the besieged enclave. Every flotilla mission launched since October 2023, including the two 2024 Freedom Flotilla Coalition missions, the mid-2025 sailings of the 'Conscience' and 'Madleen', the 40-vessel Global Sumud Flotilla in October 2025, and a subsequent 9-ship convoy, has been intercepted, blocked, or attacked by Israeli naval forces.
