On September 11, 2001, Pasquale Buzzelli had just arrived at work in the North Tower of the World Trade Center when a plane struck the building. At the time, he was completely unaware that he would be a rare survivor in the largest terrorist attack in American History. After miraculously making it out alive, he became known as the elusive “9/11 Surfer” for allegedly surfing the rubble to safety as the building fell.

Watch as Joe meets with Buzzelli and his wife at their home for an emotional recollection of their 9/11 story. We get a play by play of that fateful day as it unfolded, the chaos that ensued, and how it affected their futures forever.

This is the fourth installment of Humans, a new talk series where Joe interviews some of the most unique people in the world to shed light on their one in a million experiences. Humans aims to show viewers people with unbelievable stories that only they could live through.
