Aftermath of Israeli strikes shows widespread destruction across Lebanon

Footage from April 9 shows the extensive destruction caused by Israeli air strikes across Lebanon the previous day, just hours after the US and Iran signed a two-week ceasefire. The Israeli military said it conducted more than 100 strikes within 10 minutes in Beirut, the Beqaa Valley and southern Lebanon.

Lebanese authorities reported at least 254 people killed and 1,165 injured on 8 April alone. The overall death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 1,739. Israel insists the ceasefire did not include Lebanon, but Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian says these strikes violate the ceasefire agreement and that Tehran would not abandon the Lebanese people.
