Alireza Firouzja just shocked the world AND Eric Hansen by busting out a new chess opening in this week’s Titled Tuesday tournament! This opening is so shocking, so bizarre, I had to come up with a suitable name - and my name for this new opening is the Fashion Diva Opening - named after the fashion diva himself, Alireza Firouzja!

In the game Eric Hansen opens with 1.e4 and immediately Alireza Firouzja goes for his new opening in the first 3 moves of the game. From there absolute chaos ensues, as Alireza tries to justify his strange opening choice, while Eric Hansen continues playing more classical chess to punish the Fashion Diva himself.

But who comes out on top in the end? Is Alireza Firouzja just that good that he can play whatever he wants and still win, or did Eric Hansen swindle the victory from everyone’s favorite fashion superstar?
