Last week was wild as stocks made new highs and then pulled back. The President Trump-President Xi meeting incited some selling pressure that had the markets falling. Over the weekend, more information about the deal with China and the United States emerged. Trump posted a fact sheet, and it seemed to draw in more optimism about the deal made with China. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also said a deal could actually be signed at some point this week. Keep watching for more possible China headlines this week. Earnings are going to be critical this week as well. There are a ton of growth stocks reporting, so be careful and watch these closely! There could be some wild price action! The government shutdown is about to become the longest ever, while U.S. car repossessions are hitting levels not seen since 2009. Let's have a fantastic trading week!
