The Final Unload: 7 Years of Life in a Van

Seven years of dust, borders, and adrenaline just came to a grinding halt.

We finally picked the van up from the port and brought it home—not to another campsite, but to a permanent life under the massive, moss-draped live oaks of the Suwannee River. As we begin the grueling process of unloading every single possession from our world travels, the reality is starting to sink in. The van made it. We made it. But the transition from a life of constant motion to the stillness of the forest is more intense than we ever imagined.

Ghosts of the Suwannee
For Snow, this isn't just a new chapter—it’s a homecoming. As the drone captures the golden sunset bleeding through the oaks and over the dark river water, the memories of a childhood spent right here come flooding back. It’s beautiful, but there’s a strange weight to returning to where it all began.

The Forest Reclaims Us
While the humans struggle with the "adventure hangover," the cats have surrendered to the wild. Gmoney is already deep into the woods, taking long, surreal walks through the Florida brush. Meanwhile, to process the stress of the "sedentary life," Curt takes you on a raw, quiet hike through our new backyard to see if we can truly find peace in staying put.
