Choose notation explanation:
The stacked numbers in the parentheses are what's called choose notation. They are equivalent to the following:

n!/k!(n-k)!

where n is the number on top and k is the number on bottom. ! means factorial. This is sometimes also referred to as nCk or n choose k. Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combination
