Sweden's Taycan killer: Does the Polestar 5 have what it takes? First look

Polestar has been on a roll lately, with a trio of new models launching in the last year.

This is the very latest one, and its most expensive: the Polestar 5. It's set to take on the likes of the Porsche Taycan in the world of luxurious, electric five-seat grand tourers.

It's certainly got the design brief nailed, with a swoopy low-slung exterior and that typical Swedish less-is-more approach to styling in general.

The interior is where things really start to impress, with seats straight out of a Scandinavian furniture shop, and plenty of eye-catching detailing.
