Join me for a wet and foggy wild camp in the English Lake District. On this trip, I hike into the mountains through steady rain and fog in search of a Neolithic axe mine, summit a few peaks, and end up scrambling to find a new camping spot when I discover my original destination, a remote tarn, is already occupied by some other campers. With visibility near zero, I eventually find a place to pitch the tent, cook a warm meal, and settle in for the night. Later that evening, I take a moment to talk about some recent health issues that have kept me from getting out and filming as much as I’d like, I also manage to accidental damage my tent in the middle of the night 😳.

The next morning, the weather clears and I wake up to one of the most breathtaking views I’ve had in the Lakes. Proof that even when things don’t go to plan, they can still turn out better than expected.

Hope you enjoy the video.
