SHWACK! Giant Kansas Buck at 15 Yards. Self-Filmed Bowhunt.

I let out a couple grunts, and the nice Kansas ten point eased his way towards me, grunting every so often. A doe stood up out of her bed a mere 30 yards from me, and he snort wheezed to let me know that she belonged to him and I better back off. I snort wheezed back in hopes that he’d come over to whoop my butt, but my plan backfired. The doe took off through the middle of the field, likely thinking that she had bucks on both sides of her. I was kicking myself. If I’d just stayed quiet, she’d have likely walked past me with him in tow. However, my pity party was short lived: I caught a glimpse of movement further down the woodlot. An even bigger buck was headed my way. A giant! Possibly the biggest buck I’d ever seen from a stand.
I was at full draw as he made his way into my opening at just 15 yards. SHWACK! I watched my arrow disappear behind his shoulder.
